Wet and Hungry
“What did you think of the Alaskan?” Dee asked following Max out on the balcony.
“I thought he was quite nice, he’s an alright bloke.”
“Good at least we’ve met some people, I really like Keisha I think we might be friends.”
“I’m glad I know you need a friend out here.”
“So do you Max.”
“Yes well right now I seem to be making more enemies than friends.”
Dee took his arm, “it bothers you doesn’t it the closing of the bank.”
“It does because I have met the people who work there, it would be different if they were anonymous faces.”
“Maybe we need a break.”
Max put his arm around her, ”I'm sure we do love, unfortunately I can’t take one right now, not until the new bank can stand on its own.”
Dee watched the waves lapping at the sand below their patio, “Let’s get wet Max.”
“Wet…as in…” he pointed to the sea. A smile began across his face.
They took off shoes and padded down the steps and ran fully dressed into the sea.

“Do you feel better now?”
“Yes, actually I do. You’re good for me Dee.”
They staggered back to the shore and sat in the sand and watched the sun disappear over the horizon.
“Are you hungry Max?”
“You know I had thought about taking you out but now you’re all salty and full of sand.”
“So are you, we could shower or…we could roll about in the sand and wash in the ocean.”
“I like that idea better,” he lay her back in the sand and kissed her.
After another romp in the ocean they stripped off under the outdoor shower and washed away the fine white sand before going back up the steps to the bedroom to satisfy the appetites that had been growing for some time.
