The Call

Ian Gabriel had a hard time processing everything that had happened over the course of the morning. That morning he left his niece Ivy at the grocery with Melanie while he attended a conference/show to look for new suppliers vendors for the store. It had seemed like virtually any other day in the Glen. But today things were different.

He blamed himself. Ivy’s husband James had left her care in his hands, now he had to find a way to contact him and the only solution he could think of was Mark. To make that happen he would have to convince Mark to put aside the grudge he had against James Braddock long enough for him to give a message. He hoped it would work. He had nothing but respect for his niece’s husband and knew the timing of the day’s events couldn’t be worse.

Taking a deep breath he dialed Mark’s number. After a few rings the phone was answered. “Hello? Ian is that you?”
