The trip of A Lifetime
Jeff opened the door and his face lit up. Wrapping Meri in a warm hug he called over his shoulder, "Seb, Mum's here."
Meri never got tired of Jeff calling her 'mum'. It made her glow inside with love for her second 'son'.
"So, my darling boys, are we all ready?"
"Yep," Stevo said coming out of the bedroom with his and Jeff's bags. "Tom and Tori are going to meet us at Coffs airport, so we can head off as soon as I check I've locked everything up and turned off the power."
The boys climbed into the back of Meri's car and sat holding hands. Meri looked at them for a second and smiled. "Last chance to change your minds."
"Not gonna happen, Mum," Stevo said, winking at Jeff. "He said yes, and there's no going back."
"That's what I wanted to hear. You know how I love weddings."
"And it will be your first gay one, Mum," Jeff said, smiling at her as she started up the car.
"What's better in life than new experiences, boys. You've picked a lovely spot for the service as well."
"Yeah, Vaucluse Bay doesn't immediately come to mind when you think of gay weddings, but it's so beautiful, and it's gonna be intimate, just us, Tom and Tori. We'll meet up with all the lads down the Cross in the evening for the party."
It didn't take too long to get to the airport. Tom and Tori were already there. With hugs all round, they checked in and waited for their flight. When they go back home to The Glen, Jeff and Stevo would be married.
