Too Much for Jessup

Mr. Jessup was not impressed with his new neighbor - she was entirely too full of herself. He busied himself stacking and restacking his shelves, throwing out last week’s ice cream for fresh from the freezer in his storeroom. To give him credit he did have a nice clean little shop and he especially kept his windows spotless so he could see the goings on in the town.

He knew who was seeing who and that little lady living over Robert’s office was a fast one in his book. She had three men at her call but one of them left with Jean the other night. As he was peering out of his window toward Millie’s a large van pulled up blocking his view. A Black van with gold lettering on the side and he stepped out to see who it was. Oh…Scott’s Antiques of Coffs Harbour, fancy looking van, he thought. And then the man stepped out of the gray Bentley behind it, his eyes widened.

“Hullo, don’t worry about the van my good man, it will be moved in a moment.” Uncle Stephen Scott sauntered down the walk to his niece’s doorway.

“Oh good Lord I love it, its pink!” Uncle Stephen bellowed.

Mr. Jessup walked quickly back inside his shop and closed the door. This was too much. Of course he didn’t notice that while he was staring on the sidewalk a ginger colored four legged creature found its way into his shop and began to well…shop.
