No Worries

“Where the hell have you been?” Andy asked, as March strolled into the kitchen.

“Ah having coffee with a beautiful woman…but now I am here no worries,” he smiled using one of Andy’s expressions.

Andy ran his hand through his hair…worries were all he had at the moment. “You don’t have time for women right now March we’ve got reservation’s coming out of the ass tonight.”

“Well then see you have no worries and I will always have time for women,” March donned his chef’s jacket and hat.

“You look like a proper chef March,” Andy said grinning, “not like at Rosa’s where you worked in a tee shirt.”

“I am a proper chef,” March looked up, “it’s time I looked like something.”

“What woman did you find today?” Andy asked pulling out a tray of veal to pound.

“Her name is Libby,” March answered looking over the ingredients list and checking the prep bins.

Andy turned and looked at him, “Libby Tyler, I thought she was Dan Evan’s girl.”

“Not tonight my friend…tonight we have dinner…and then…ah who knows?” He flashed a smile.

Andy shook his head and dug out the meat mallet from under the prep table. “Alice is coming in to help out tonight…she won’t be able to do it all the time though.”

“I tell you Andy you have to have two shifts I need three people back here…you know this.”

Andy did know but had been unable to find them before opening night. The sou chef would not be available for another week and there was the wait staff problem.

“I never thought finding people would be a problem as often as restaurant people change jobs,” he said pounding away.

“No worries Andy they will come especially after tonight…they will see what a success you are and come running.”

“You never worry about a thing do you March?”

“I do…you have no idea.” March answered.
